Sentimental about paper~

I hate wasting things. Especially my crafting supplies. So I save my scraps of cardstock and pattern paper. Thus, I have quite the collection of scraps. I have been really trying lately to use up some of those scraps and give them a new life. I mean I paid for the whole sheet of paper so I might as well use it, right? This card is based on this weeks TESC143. Such a fun little sketch. I really thought it was going to be a challenge for me because I am not such a fan of triangles but, it went together nicely.

I am also happy to report that it's created entirely out of scraps! I dug out some really old Chatterbox designer paper and went to town. I can remember when I bought this paper. I loved it so much it made me drool. I'm pretty sure I held onto it for awhile. Just waiting for the "perfect" project. :)

I am so relieved that I have "mostly" gotten over the "it's just too pretty to use" phase of my crafting life. Now I say " Use it or lose it!". You will notice this is a sentiment only card. I decided to take the challenge and play along with this weeks Diva Dare.

The challenge was Sentimental about Paper. Dig into your paper stash and create a project with a sentiment only. No images.

Now, no images is defintely what I call a challenge! :) I have grown so attached to my Copics that it's hard to create without them. None the less, here you have it! I love it when I can combine challenges! Thanks for stopping by.

Let's Celebrate~

I just can't get over this adorable Some Odd Girl digi stamp. He's so darned cute! I knew I wanted to use him for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #142.

Once I had Stompin' Tobie all colored I realized that I wasn't going to be able to fit him into a triangle without losing some of the image. So I went with the flow and this is what I got.

He's a little blondie bear and it reminds me so much of my 5 year old Taylor. He loves puddles too! :) I really love the simplicity of this card. Quick and clean! Yahoo! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hello Kiki La Rue~

I am all about the challenges these days. It really takes the pressure off of making a card. This sketch is from Taylored Expressions Sketch challenge #141 and it looks like I am getting it in just under the wire. Today is the last day to play along.

This was a fun sketch to play with and I happened to have another  C.C. Designs Digital Stamp that I hadn't gotten to play with yet. FUN!!! I'm also playing along with the Wednesday Challenge at All that Scraps. This week it's Punches or Dies. My scallop rectangle is from a Spellbinders die and I used my corner rounder punch.

This is Coffee Kiki La Rue. I think she is adorable. In fact I love her so much I may just have to purchase her in rubber. My favorite thing about this card is that she is colored in with my new COPIC markers. Yep, I took the Copic plunge and after just one card I am doing the Copic dance. Seriously, I am in love (drool). Anyway, more about that tomorrow. TTFN!
