Happy Times~

Happy Monday! I have a few things to share with you today! It's Thanksgiving week here in the states. I know this week is just gonna fly by and I want to savor it as much as possible, the whole holiday season really! My birthday was last Saturday and I treated myself to a new journal. Not just any journal but, a lovely brown leather bound journal. I just love it! My intention is to record a little something every day. To really savor this truly amazing time of year. To remember because, I know that if I don't write it down I never will.

I got a little crafty time on Saturday so I sat down and just played! It was glorious! :)

This cute little darling is Stamping Bella colored with Copic Markers. I just love her! Lots of lovely My Minds Eye (Life of the party) layers at work here. Both the border and flourish die are My Favorite Things! I added a touch of Stickles to the cake. Who wouldn't like a little sparkle on their birthday cake? LOL! A bit of Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon finishes the job! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Birds of a Feather~

Hiya out there in blog land. It's Thursday again and I have a fabulous Ways to Use It challenge to share. I just so happen to be the host this week over at Splitcoaststampers. I hope you will check it out and join us, or at the very least check out all of the gorgeous cards! My theme is Birds of a Feather. Basically put a bird on it! :)

With the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday next week I decided to get cracking on my place cards. The turkey and leaves are fantabulous Verve stamps. I just adore this set!. I colored them in with Copic Markers in a rainbow. I just love how the colors *POP*. A few rounded corners and some punches from Stampin' Up! help complete the look. I am handwriting the names. My mini alphabet stamps met their maker at the hands of my 18 month old. Yikes! The twine is hanging out for added texture. Wanna take a peek at the inside??? You know you wanna!

It's pretty simple with just a few stamps. I created a spot where we can write what we are Thankful for. I am planning on putting them all together and making a little mini book. That's all I have for this week. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that I have stepped down from my Pixie Dust Studios design team. It was just time. I am going to miss them a lot but, who knows what the future holds. Thanks for stopping by! TTFN~

Fall Colors~

It's Thursday already! This week is just flying by for me! I have another Pixie Dust Studio Challenge for you. I really am going to try to post a little bit more frequently on here for you. Life is just so full right now! I have been pinning tons of holiday crafts. I so hope I can find the time to make a few, and then remember to take a picture! LOL! We have a super fun challenge for you this week over at Pixie Dust Studio. Fall Colors!

I kept it simple and sweet! I colored our lovely little Pixie in with Copic Markers and inked the edges with Caramel Ink for depth. I also inked the base with the same ink. Once I get started with the inking it's just so hard to stop! :) I used three little strips of Pattern Paper from We R Memory Keepers called Autumn Splendor. Pretty much perfect for this challenge. Lastly, I added three little buttons that matched, tied with a bit of twine. Easy peasy! The thing I love about this card is with just the changing of paper it could fit any theme! Gotta love a good base! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful weekend!

The leaves are falling~

Hey Pixie fans! It's Thursday which means it's time for another Pixie Dust Studio Challenge. Can you handle it? :) This week we are challenging you to make a project with leaves on it. It's just perfect for this time of you (at least where I live).

There are leaves on the stamp and the pattern paper which is Basic Grey, btw! I colored this sweet Pixie in with Copic Markers and double mounted her on Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. Then I used an EK Success punch for the decorative edge. I added a few chocolate chip brads and some craft store ribbon. Mission complete! Thank you so much for stopping by. I do hope you will join us this week over at the Studio!

Halloween Costumes~

Halloween is just around the corner. Are you ready? Well this week at Pixie Dust Studio we are all about the Halloween costumes. In fact it's our challenge theme for the week. Enjoy!

My Pixie is going as a Heart Throb. Isn't he dreamy? LOL! I am having a serious case of NO MOJO! Alas, I did manage to create this card although I am not sure how I feel about it. Which is a shame considering that this Pixie is just so darned cute! I colored him with Copic Markers and paired him with Basic Grey pattern paper. Lastly, I added a craft store leaf, ribbon, SU! twine, and an orange button. I also did a bit of inking on the pattern paper for depth and texture. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope that you can play along this week!

Round and Round~

It's time for another Ways to Use it challenge over at Splitcoaststampers! This week I am the host and my challenge is Round and Round. Basically incorporate two or more round elements on your card or project. Can you dig it?

Maybe it is the changing weather or the fact that I love hot beverages and this stamp set but, I was in a coffee kind of mood. The stamp set is Verve in case you were wondering where you could get your hot little hands on your own set. I colored it in with Copic Markers and fussy cut it out. The pattern paper is Amy Tangerine. I just love it! The ribbon is sheer white Offray. I paper pierced around the outside of the pink circle but, you can't really see it in this picture. The scalloped circle is a Spellbinders die. That about covers it. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Saturday Market~

It is a glorious Saturday morning here! I am seriously LOVING the weather! My sister and I managed to make it to the local Saturday Market (without children)! It was so much fun! There were so many amazingly talented artisans there! It really was inspirational to see so many people selling their wares and living their passions! I am a firm believer in sharing all things fabulous. One of the booths that we stumbled upon was Karla Dornacher Designs. She makes the most amazing paintings. Seriously treat yourself and check out her blog. You will not regret it! I must admit it made me want to break out my paint brushes and create something. In reality I will most likely spend my day chasing my 4 crazy adorable children around the yard but, inside I am dreaming of canvas and paints. A girl can dream can't she? I suppose since you came all this way to visit my humble little blog I might as well share a card with you.

I made a bunch of cards for the Ladies Night auction at my church the other night. This was one of them. It was nice to break out the old Stampin' Up! stamps. To give them new life! I colored them with Copics (Yes I am addicted)! The design is super simple, which is a must when you have to make a bunch! Look no pattern paper! LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fun and fabulous weekend!

Anything Goes~

It is a beautiful, bright morning here in the Pacific Northwest. The air is brisk with just the slightest bit of wind. It's hard to stay indoors when it is just so darned nice outside. Fall has officially arrived. I am enjoying a lovely steaming hot beverage. Have I meantioned that I am addicted to hot beverages in almost all forms? Well I am and Autumn is definitely my season! It's Thursday and that means another Pixie Dust Studio Challenge! Are you excited? This week the theme is Anything Goes. It really couldn't be any easier!

This sweet little Pixie is just so much fun to color with Copic Markers! The pattern paper is Jillybean Soup. It's so fresh and lively! The design is pretty basic, a few pieces of lovely paper. The flourish die is My Favorite Things, and it really is you know! Two simple crisscross stitches in dark brown Coats & Clark thread complete the card. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will play along with us this week! Until next time! TTFN!

These colors are perfect for a Halloween card! Don't you think?

This little Pixie is just too cute to spook! Have I mentioned that I LOVE to make Halloween cards? Next to Christmas it is just my favorite! So as I am sure you have guessed, I colored her in with Copic Markers. The paper is OLD Doodle Bug Designs (Yeah I am using up my stash!). The border and Twine are from My Favorite Things, as is the sketch for this card. The buttons are from my giant button jar so, I have no idea who made them. Sorry! Thank you for stopping by. I hope that you will play along this week!

Z is for ...

Happy Friday all! This week has really flown by for me. I have a fun little card to share with you today. I made this for a baby shower I attended a couple of weeks ago.

I got lucky and found an adorable little sleeper that matched my card! Which was perfect because the Mommy-to-be's last name starts with Z and the outfit said "Z is for .." Too perfect! This adorable little Zebra is Pixie Dust Studio. The designer paper is Stampin' Up!. I used my mat pack and paper piercer to add a little subtle texture. The matching dies are My Favorite Things and the ribbon is retired Stampin' Up!. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. Have a fabulous weekend darling! :)

Pixie Flix Time~

Hello Pixie Fans! It's time for another Pixie Flix challenge! This week we have a super fun flix for you! Are you ready?

Isn't he just the most handsome of all of the Pixies? I agree! :) Fall is in the air. Thus, a fall themed card. The paper I used is Autumn Splendor by We R Memory Keepers. Yeah, I changed it up! LOL! I colored our little friend in with Copic Markers. I just love my Copics! The flourish die is My Favorite Things, the border die is The Cat's Pajamas, and the "ribbon" is retired Stampin' Up!. This is a fairly large card, 5.25" square. I just adore a square card! Ok, if you want to know which movie this card is based on head over to Pixie Dust Studio Challenge blog! Thanks for stopping by!

Photo Inspiration~

Hey all! It's Pixie Dust Studio Challenge time again! This week we have a super fun photo inspiration challenge to play along with.

This is quite the room. So many patterns, colors, and texture. Do you want to see my take on it?

This sweet little Pixie has been sitting on my desk just waiting to be colored for a few weeks now. I had so much fun creating with her. Now this would not be my first choice of color combos. Which is why it's great to have a challenge! I colored her in with Copic Markers and mounted her on black cardstock. The pattern paper in Authentique. A My Favorite Things border die and Stampin' Up! ribbon and gemstone brads finish the job. Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to head over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog for more Pixie inspiration!

Something Spooktacular~

Hello again! Two posts in one day. We are on a roll now! Surely you didn't think that I was going to let Thursday pass us by without posting a Pixie Dust Studio Challenge card!

I have something positively spooktacular to share with you today! Isn't this Halloween inspired Pixie just the cutest? I think so! I had SOOOO much fun coloring her up with my Copics. I have to tell you that I just adore making Halloween cards which is probably why I was so excited that the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge this week is Trick or Treat! Did I mention how much fun it is to create with this color palette? The pattern paper is Doodle Bug Designs. We have a few dies going on here~ My favorite Things for both the circle and the flourish and Verve for the newspaper tag and oval. The flowers are Prima with mini silver brads from Making Memories. That adorable sentiment is Hambo stamps! Be sure to stop by The Pixie Dust Studio and play along in this weeks super fun challenge! TTFN~

Apple For The Teacher~

Who's ready for another Ways To Use It challenge? Well then you are in luck because it's that time! This week I am the host and the theme is APPLES!

There are so many ways that you can go with this challenge. I decided to create a teacher card featuring apples. You could make a fall themed card or go with fruit, desserts. The sky is the limit! The stamp that I chose is Hambo! I just love this stamp! I kept the design pretty simple. A little Basic Grey paper and Kraft, White, and Red cardstock. I rounded the upper right corner with my corner rounder. Sometimes it's nice to break out the basics! The border die is My Favorite Things! A touch of white satin ribbon tied into a simple knot and adorned with a button finish the card. If you are in the mood for some amazing eye candy be sure to stop by Splitcoaststampers and check out all of the the Apple themed cards this week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Back to school~

It's Back To School Pixie style! That's right the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge this week is Back to School. Can you believe that Summer is nearly over? It went by so fast!

This sweet Pixie is ready for Back To School and she is extra cool! I went a little nuts with the pearls. I just couldn't help myself! LOL! As you can probably guess I colored this little sweetie in with Copic Markers. She is accompanied by My Minds Eye pattern paper. I am actually nearing the end of a few of my favorite MME paper pads. That must mean that a trip to Craft Warehouse is in order. Right? ;) I finished the card with a scrap of Stampin' Up! ribbon, long retired I am sad to say. It was just hanging out on my desk and I was well too lazy tired to get up and get something else. My Uni-ball Signo white gel pen provided just the right touch to complete the card. It is almost completely out of ink. Better add that to my list. Anyway, I hope that you can stop by Pixie Dust Studio and see all of the lovely projects that the Pixie's have created for your viewing pleasure this week. Play along if you can. Thanks for stopping by! TTFN~

A Food Challenge~

Sorry this post is so late. It's time for another Pixie Dust Studio Challenge. This week the challenge is to create a card with a food theme.

Check out this little cupcake! She is sweet as can be for sure! I colored her in with Copic Markers and paired her with My Minds Eye paper. Shocking I know! LOL! A few odds and ends round out the card. Namely rounded edges at the bottom of my card, buttons in mutliple colors (this makes me ridiculously happy), and a bit of faux stitching courtesy of my white gel pen. I was just too tired lazy to dig the sewing machine out. I think it turned out really cute and I plan on giving it to my neice who is turning 13! Dang a teenager already! Where did the time go? Well I hope you will find time to visit the Pixie Dust Studio challenge blog and play along with the fun challenge that we have for you this week! Have a fabulous weekend!

Pixie Flix Time~

Is it really Thursday again? It must be which means that it's Pixie Dust Studio Challenge time and this week we have one of our special Pixie Flix challenges to share with you. Here is my clue....

The main character works in a record store and lives on the "wrong" side of the tracks.

I will admit I got a little carried away with the bling. Once you start it's just so hard to stop! Now I don't know about you but, I knew what this Pixie Flix was just from the dress. Kathy did an amazing job! I colored her in with Copic Markers. I had a hard time with her hair and I'm not sure how I feel about it! LOL! The pattern paper is Basic Grey. I had the pink twill laying around so I knew it would be perfect. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you will play along over at the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge blog! Have a fabulous week!

Grandma's Attic~

It's Pixie Dust Studio time again! Are you as excited as I am? This week we have a really fun challenge for you. Grandma's Attic~ Create a card/project with a vintage look.

I have to admit I do not normally go for the vintage look, although I love inking and distressing! I added a bit of lace and a brooch brad. This little lovely likes to  be in Grandma's Attic when she can't sleep. Isn't she adorable? I agree! :) I colored her in with Copic Markers. The pattern paper is really retired Stampin' Up!. The scallop square has been sitting on my desk for months. I am so glad to have finally used it. Yes, I do need to clean off my desk. One card at a time. LOL! I added a bit of brown thread to two corners for texture. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fabulous weekend!

Celebrate the Olympics~

It's Pixie Dust Studio time! I missed y'all last week. I had a card to post but, I got super sick and never posted it. Perhaps it'll be a bonus post last in the week. We shall see. Back to the current Pixie Dust Studio challenge.

It's time for the Olympics and Pixie is so proud! I just love this sweet little stamp! Kathy is such a genius! It's my same basic card formula. SU! cardstock base, another layer of cardstock. A little Basic Grey pattern paper in Serendipity & Picadilly. The ribbon and brads are retired Stampin' Up! The pennant dies & border are My Favorite Things. I colored Pixie in with Copics. That is that. Maybe I'll spice it up a little more next week. I do hope you will play along with us this week over at the challenge blog! Thanks for stopping by.
