Birds of a Feather~

Hiya out there in blog land. It's Thursday again and I have a fabulous Ways to Use It challenge to share. I just so happen to be the host this week over at Splitcoaststampers. I hope you will check it out and join us, or at the very least check out all of the gorgeous cards! My theme is Birds of a Feather. Basically put a bird on it! :)

With the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday next week I decided to get cracking on my place cards. The turkey and leaves are fantabulous Verve stamps. I just adore this set!. I colored them in with Copic Markers in a rainbow. I just love how the colors *POP*. A few rounded corners and some punches from Stampin' Up! help complete the look. I am handwriting the names. My mini alphabet stamps met their maker at the hands of my 18 month old. Yikes! The twine is hanging out for added texture. Wanna take a peek at the inside??? You know you wanna!

It's pretty simple with just a few stamps. I created a spot where we can write what we are Thankful for. I am planning on putting them all together and making a little mini book. That's all I have for this week. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that I have stepped down from my Pixie Dust Studios design team. It was just time. I am going to miss them a lot but, who knows what the future holds. Thanks for stopping by! TTFN~

Round and Round~

It's time for another Ways to Use it challenge over at Splitcoaststampers! This week I am the host and my challenge is Round and Round. Basically incorporate two or more round elements on your card or project. Can you dig it?

Maybe it is the changing weather or the fact that I love hot beverages and this stamp set but, I was in a coffee kind of mood. The stamp set is Verve in case you were wondering where you could get your hot little hands on your own set. I colored it in with Copic Markers and fussy cut it out. The pattern paper is Amy Tangerine. I just love it! The ribbon is sheer white Offray. I paper pierced around the outside of the pink circle but, you can't really see it in this picture. The scalloped circle is a Spellbinders die. That about covers it. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Gettin' Sentimental~

Heya. We just wrapped up 10 days of Spring Break here. Now it's back to the daily grind. I don't know how you get through your morning but, I personally need coffee. Which brings me to the card that I have to share with you today.

I created this little lovely for the current Ways To Use It challenge over on Splitcoaststamper. You should check it out! Michelle is our fantastic host this week and the challenge is to make a project where the sentiment is the focus. I LOVE this sentiment from my favorite Verve set Better with you. I paired it with some Jillybean soup pattern paper, the sentiment is on a Verve Cut Above die and a few MFT Die-namics finish the job. Voila! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
I used the Viva La Verve March Week 4 sketch for my card. Those girls at Verve are crafty geniuses!

Happy Verve Day~

Happy Monday! It's the start of a brand new week. Around here the leaves are rapidly descending to the ground in a dance of fiery orange, gold, and crimson. Fall is in full force! This time of year I like to hunker down with a hot steamy beverage and craft the night away. The other day I carved out some time to create this simple little card.

The designer paper is retired Stampin' Up! I'm trying to work through my stash! Yahoo! I used the Verve Making a Statement stamp set, as well as the Verve Cut Above Loopy Blooms die and Verve Sweet Scallop die. The design is Viva la Verve October Week 2. I just love Viva la Verve sketches!

That's all I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by! TTFN~

Clearly Acetate~

Thanks for stopping by today! I have another combo challenge card to share with you. I combined the Cat's Pajamas challenge with the Viva la Verve October Week 4. The TCP Tuesday challenge is to use acetate on your project.

It's a little hard to see here but, I cut the acetate out with the Verve Loopy Bloom Cut Above Die. I used the Loopy blooms to create a border. I really like the way it turned out, I think it's fun! I paper pieced the Bears tummy and nose. The rest of the bear is colored in with Copic markers, and is mounted on a Verve Classic Label Die and Spellbinders Scallop Oval. The sentiment is from Verve Bountiful Harvest on a Verve Embossed Oval Die. The paper is retired Stampin' Up!.

Hello Pumpkin~

Hey there. I have a small stack of card to share that I have yet to blog. Life somehow gets the better of me. Alas, tonight I have the October Verve Get Your Diva on challenge.

The challenge was to create a handmade embellishment for your card. I have a ton of fun Halloween fabric hanging around so I cut some strips and started playing around. I settled on a pleated bloom. I also rolled a seam binding rose. I used my new (to me) Verve Bountiful Harvest stamp set. I colored the adorable pumpkins in with my Copic markers. I gotta tell ya, I just adore pumpkins! Real ones, stamped ones, fake ones, pies. LOL!

I finished off the inside to match the front. I mostly used scraps and repeated the same elements. The card front is inspired by the Viva La Verve October week 3 sketch.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, My Pretty~

Halloween is just around the corner and although I don't like the cold I have to admit that this is my favorite time of the year! I love Halloween (not the yucky side of it). Pumpkins, costumes, and all of the festivities! Hurrah! Today I have My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Club #40. I don't think I have missed a week since I stumbled upon them.

Yes, I did use Pure Innocence Little Witch again this week. Are you getting sick of her? I hope not because, I think she is adorable! I only have a few more weeks that she is seasonally appropriate. Then it's to the back of the stamp basket for her for another year. Boo! I might be able to have her lose the broom and be a pilgrim. :) I had to add a few pumpkins (Verve) to the mix.

As you can tell I stuck to the sketch. It's so basic, which I love! :)

I did a little something to the inside as well! That does it today. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for my Hambo Hoedown post! You are gonna love it!
